The global conversation around the future of work is constantly evolving, and at its epicenter is ORGATEC, the industry’s leading trade fair. For Marwood, having unveiled our new brand identity in 2022, our return for the 2024 edition was about demonstrating the powerful substance behind our vision. This was the moment we moved from concept to concrete as we unveiled the comprehensive philosophies that now define our brand: Flexo and EcoHue. While their principles have been guiding our development for years, ORGATEC 2024 marked their official debut, showcasing a complete, integrated vision for the adaptable, sustainable, and human-centric workspaces of tomorrow.
The Flexo Philosophy: A Blueprint for the Future-Proof Workspace
The centerpiece of our presentation was the full expression of our Flexo philosophy. In a world where business needs can change in an instant, Flexo is our answer to the demand for truly fluid and long-lasting workspace environments. It is a holistic design culture built on ultimate modularity, future-proof engineering for long-term value, and an unwavering focus on effortless functionality. Flexo is the blueprint we use to ensure every Marwood solution is an investment that adapts, endures, and supports the well-being of its users. You can explore the full depth of our Flexo philosophy here.
EcoHue: Our Commitment to Sustainability, Formalized
Alongside Flexo, we formally introduced our EcoHue protocol. This initiative turns 100% of our waste powder paint into a new, recycled “EcoHue Grey” for unseen furniture parts, has been a core part of our sustainable practice for years. At ORGATEC, we proudly shared this story as a tangible example of our commitment to the circular economy. EcoHue demonstrates how true environmental responsibility is not an afterthought, but an integral part of the manufacturing process. Design in Action: Our Newest Solutions
Our stand was a launchpad for a diverse range of new collections, each embodying our design principles. Our new seating solutions took center stage, led by a trio of innovative task chairs. The Jun chair impressed with its minimalist structure and refined aesthetic, perfect for modern offices and meeting rooms. The Glory task chair, a true embodiment of Flexo’s functional pillar, offered an ideal balance of elegant design and adaptable ergonomic comfort. Making its debut, the premium, Italian-crafted Theo chair enriched workspaces with vibrant colors. A prime example of the Flexo philosophy, it offers innovative and adjustable comfort, designed as a long-term investment in user well-being.
Our new lounge and collaborative pieces also drew significant attention. The Rota sofa added a modern, sculptural touch with its fluid, oval form, while the Origo pouf and coffee table redefined shared spaces with their complementary design and timeless appeal. We also introduced versatile storage solutions like the Tin system, whose flexible shelving options offer customized organization, and the multi-functional Timy, which brings aesthetic harmony to any environment, from executive offices to reception areas.
To complete the vision, we unveiled accessories like the Cliffs acoustic panel. With its sculptural, stone-like form and a core made from recycled materials, Cliff provides a high-performance sound-dampening solution that is both decorative and sustainable.
A New Spectrum of Choice and Customization
Empowering the creative vision of architects and designers is central to our mission. To that end, ORGATEC 2024 was the first time we presented our interactive Material Wheel. This innovative tool provides a comprehensive, tactile overview of our finishes, transforming the selection process into an intuitive and inspiring experience. We also officially launched a range of new colors, further expanding the creative palette available to our partners.
To demonstrate our advanced customization capabilities, we showcased our Layer modular cabinets with a stunning, custom-made AGT Picasso Inox finish. This highlighted our ability to collaborate with clients and material partners to create truly bespoke products tailored to specific project requirements. This focus on personalization extends to technology, with new versions of Burg locking systems on display, proving our capacity to integrate custom security solutions for any need, from personal lockers in agile environments to high-security storage.
Welcoming POVAG: Strengthening Our European Presence
ORGATEC 2024 also marked a significant strategic milestone. We were thrilled to officially welcome the POVAG team, who were present at our stand for the first time as our official representatives for the Netherlands. This partnership is a cornerstone of our growing “Marwood Europe” presence. For our clients and partners in the region, it means closer collaboration, local expertise, and an even more dedicated level of service. It solidifies our commitment to the European market and strengthens our ability to deliver our vision across the continent.
For Marwood, ORGATEC 2024 was the moment all the pieces came together. It was where our philosophies of adaptability and sustainability were brought to life through a new generation of products, where our commitment to customization was made clear, and where our European family grew stronger.
